We write software that facilitates the gathering, sorting and understanding of mobile data. Our primary focus is mobile music, working with customers across the industry to provide insights that leverage user data to improve user experience.

We run a small, high performance development team in Dublin. The team is multidisciplinary with expertise across mobile and back-end. We hire primarily for aptitude and have a nice blend of junior and senior engineers of different experience levels.

Soundwave writes for Android and iOS using typical tooling on both platforms. For back-end development we use a mix of Java 8 and Ruby. Our primary data store is MongoDB and we rely heavily on AWS products such as SQS and EC2. We value end-to-end ownership of software so each engineer writes, runs and supports her own. We are not dogmatic on process but subscribe to the Agile Manifesto in its original form.
